Poster Campaign Project

This Poster campaign was such a fun project to work on because I had to think of something to campaign about that had substance; something that matters. I ended up choosing to make a campaign about a charity, charity: water,  that brings clean water to places in need of it. The assignment was to make a three page spread. For the first picture I wanted to make it catch the viewers eye. So to do this I headed to Google and found an image that allowed me to use it for a non commercial use, which in this case is just what I needed seeing how it isn’t going on an actual website. Once i found the first picture I took it into Photoshop to revamp it to my style and make it eye catching!

Doing this was no easy task. First I had to adjust to color tone on the picture and then find some water droplet picture on Google, four in total (non commercial use only of course). Once the water pictures were found I then began the tedious process of getting rid of the background and unnecessary bits and pieces so that I was just left with the water itself. This was done for ever water picture I had!

Once the water editing was complete I now had to overlay and wrap the water around her head in such a way so that the picture would have a sense of realism. This was no easy task however. An hour and  a half later I was pleased with the outcome.

For the second and third picture I now had to get my point across, Donate Water!, so that is exactly what I did. I found pictures relevant to my topic, put them into Indesign and formatted accordingly.

The final spread worked well together. As a designer I am always tweaking little things like text placement and such, but ultimately this is how it will look in the end.
